First scene: In the opening scene, we will first show the iconic snap along with the Nintendo Switch animation. My partner Katherine will be sitting down playing a game on her Nintendo Switch. Her demeanor will be sad, and this is because she's playing the game by herself and not with friends. She will be at home with casual clothing on such as a hoodie and sweatpants. This is to show the comfort of her being in her own home, which is familiar to all of us. Second scene: To mirror the opening scene, the following show will show me sitting in my home playing with my Nintendo Switch. I will also be wearing casual clothing like a hoodie and biker shorts. Just like Katherine, my demeanor will also be sad as I am playing the game by myself. Third scene: Next, we will be texting each other to ask if we should meet up to play together. There will be shots from both Katherine's and my phones. Fourth scene: My partner on the bus going to the Dairy Queen, wearing what she usually would...

Props: Katherine and I will be focusing on the versatility of the Nintendo Switch, therefore we will be using a couch, chair, car, TV, adaption chord, and game cartridge. Costume: Katherine and I will be the 2 main people in this commercial. To go with the laid-back style of Nintendo commercials, my partner and I will be wearing casual clothing. This includes but is not limited to hoodies, jeans, shorts, t-shirts, and sneakers. For hairstyles, we would either be wearing our hair down, or put up in some way like a ponytail, headbands, or an updo. Schedule: 09/26/22: My partner and I research for our commercial by inspecting Nintendo commercials, specifically used for the Nintendo Switch. 09/28/22: Katherine and I speak of the props, sets, and costumes we will use separately, then when we are together. We also discuss a backup plan. 10/02/22: Katherine sketches out a storyboard and we discuss how we will combine our footage for the 30-second commercial. 10/03/22: Ind...

Usually, Nintendo commercials showcase the togetherness of playing Nintendo games no matter where you are and the versatility of the console.    Casual clothing is what is usually shown, such as button-ups, sweaters, jeans, sneakers, and hoodies. Recently, props used in Nintendo commercials are the Nintendo Switch, a TV, a chord adapter to connect the switch, a table, a couch, and seats. The way that the actors in the commercials look is relaxed, happy with smiles, or concentrated on the game. The score uses diegetic sound by using sound effects from the game being played, cheers/talking from the players, the score from the game, and sometimes a non-diegetic sound over the video. 1.      Conventions and Code in Nintendo commercials are the snap sound when the Nintendo switch logo animates along with the name “Nintendo Switch.” This all happens in front of a solid red background and mimics the contr...
