Creative Critical Reflection
1. My product placement uses conventions by showing how the Nintendo Switch is versatile. It could be used as a stand-alone console, but the same device could also be used to join together family and friends. Furthermore, it can connect you to people from all around the world to compete and play as one. This very same reason is how it represents social groups, by showing that people socialize differently. It also encourages people to use the Switch to socialize more. The issue it combats would be the difficulty some people face trying to socialize.
2. The Nintendo Switch engages with audiences by showing both sides of the coin, the individual player and the consumers playing together. If this were to be distributed in the real world, I would think this would show as a YouTube ad or a commercial you see around the holidays.
3. At first, I found I wasn't comfortable in front of the camera. This was because when I do play with my Nintendo Switch, it's by myself and because I've never acted in front of a camera. As we progressed and I did multiple takes, I realized that the more relaxed I am, the better the outcome will be. I also learned the crucial aspects of lighting and camera placement.
4. We used simple apps to edit the project. For the clipping of the scenes to make one individual take, we used our own Gallery apps on our phones. We also used the camera app on our phones turned horizontally to shoot in the first place. YouTube was used to upload the final product, which is linked in our previous blog.
